About the OK$ Merchant App

The OK$ Merchant App is designed specifically for merchants to accept digital payments quickly and securely. Once merchants log in using their account number and password, their unique MMQR code is automatically displayed. You no longer need multiple wallet apps to receive customer payments. Whether your customers use OK$, KBZPay, Wave Money, CB Pay, or any other supported wallet, you can accept payments seamlessly with this MMQR.

The app provides a seamless interface for merchants to manage transactions, track received payments, and ensure smooth daily operations. With the OK$ Merchant App, businesses can digitize their payment collections and offer customers a fast and convenient payment experience.

This policy explains how the OK$ Merchant App collects, uses, and protects the business information of merchants. It outlines the measures we take to maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of your data, in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements

What is Merchant Information

Merchant information refers to any data that identifies or can reasonably identify a merchant using the OK$ Merchant App. Currently, we only collect the registered mobile number and password used during login. We do not collect any other personal or sensitive merchant data.

To ensure a smooth and secure payment experience, the OK$ Merchant App may request permissions for camera, notifications, and storage. The camera permission is used for scanning QR codes to receive payments, the notification permission is used to alert merchants about incoming payments and important updates, and the storage permission is used to save transaction data or receipts locally on the device.

All information accessed through these permissions is stored securely on the merchant’s device and is not shared with other apps, third-party servers, or external storage locations. For enhanced security and monitoring, certain data may be uploaded to our secure remote servers for analytics and fraud prevention within the OK$ Merchant system, helping us detect and prevent misuse such as financial fraud or laundering.

Some examples of merchant information we collect may include your:

  • Registered account number used to access the OK$ Merchant App.
  • Password provided during login to securely authenticate your merchant account.

We do not collect any additional personal or sensitive data such as name, address, contact details, government-issued IDs, or financial information. The OK$ Merchant App is designed to ensure a simple, secure login and payment experience for merchants without accessing unnecessary data.

App Permissions

To provide core features of the OK$ Merchant App, the following permissions are required:

  • Camera
    We require camera permission to allow merchants to scan QR codes for receiving payments quickly and efficiently.
  • Notifications
    We require notification permission to send real-time alerts for incoming payments and important merchant account updates.
  • Storage
    We require storage permission to enable QR code scanning from the gallery and to save digital receipts of transactions securely on the device.

How do we hold and protect your merchant information?

Much of the information we hold about you will be stored electronically. We store some of your information in secure data centre that are located in Yangon, Myanmar. We also store information in other data centres or data centres of our contracted service providers (including cloud storage providers), and some of these data centres may be located outside Myanmar in Asia Pacific region. Some information we hold about you will be stored in paper files.

We use a range of physical, electronic and other security measures to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of the merchnat information we hold both in Myanmar and overseas. For example:

  • access to our information systems is controlled through identity and access management controls;
  • employees and our contracted service providers are bound by internal information security requirements and are required to keep information secure;
  • all employees are required to complete training about privacy and information security; and
  • we regularly monitor and review our compliance with industry best practices.

How to delete account?

To delete OK$ Merchant App, you should contact customer care through Email Id : customercare@okdollar.com.

Direct deletion of the account by the customer can't be allowed as per the instructions from the Central Bank of Myanmar, which is the governing body for non-banking finance entities.
